It's amazing the way the city and its partners in gentrification and ethnic cleansing are treating some African Americans.
The latest instance of this obnoxious and -- in the framework of our supposed commitment to diversity -- immoral behavior is the episode of three young black men.
The would-be entrants into the BAM cultural district invested hundreds of thousands of dollars in a venture intended to bring a little soulful culture to Fort Greene/Downtown Brooklyn.
But the way they were bamboozled (pun very much intended) by the owner of their building, a Juan Lopez, and by the city and all those in cohoots in the re-development of the BAM cultural district -- like the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership -- is almost criminal, certainly so in the case of Lopez.
The bamboozled brothers (term used in the looser ethnic sense of the word) are pictured above, left to right, Todd N. Triplett, Shaun R. Jenkins and Philip L. McKenzie. Photo was for the Village Voice courtesy of Amber Archives.
