Thank you for posting this. It is a powerful story, and yet it is little known. I have included an excerpt in my blog, with a link back to your site. I hope to encourage more people to familiarize themselves with the story of William Hallett Green. It is a sad but enlightening window into the reality of Black life in the first decades after slavery.
