Jefferson Avenue in Bed-Stuy Celebrates Halloween -- the Old-Fashioned, Community Way

The wonderful Altovise Fleary, pictured here from the block party she organized on Jefferson Avenue this past summer, is hosting a Halloween fete for the youngsters of Bed-Stuy.

Here are the details as Altovise explained them in a missive to her appreciative residents of Jefferson between Tompkins and Throop Avenues -- the heart of the neighborhood!

Event: Bedford Stuyvesant Third Annual Halloween Walk 2009
Date:  Saturday, October 31, 2009
Time: 4:30Pm-7:30PM
 
Event Details: There will be maps distributed throughout the neighborhood  to start the walk at the designated residences/theme houses and local businesses. The event will be kid-friendly  fun, and candy for trick-or-treaters during the mid-afternoon and evening hours.

Maps were distributed through the week at the following locations:

--99 Cent Store at 1445 Fulton Street, corner of Tompkins Avenue.
--The Royal Rib House at 303 Halsey Street.
--Tompkins Avenue Merchants located on Tompkins Avenue, listed on the map.
