This is the same New York Post, mind you, that ran a cartoon of President Barack Obama as a monkey and never apologized for it.
I wrote a story once for a competing city newspaper, and the Post ran a follow-up using a scanned copy of the very same exclusive photo I had used with my piece.
This is just to let you know what you're dealing with here.
All serious- minded news readers know the ethical standards of Rupert Murdoch and his businesses, including The Post.
The paper's top editors - maites from across the pond - etch-a-sketch their news pages, like the Romneys of the journalism world.
All in fun.
Anyway, here's the beginning of a Post story (said to have been actually written by the AP) on the latest favorable Romney numbers.
"After what many saw as a landslide victory during the first presidential debate last Wednesday, Mitt Romney led President Obama by two percent in a national poll released today, winning support from 49 percent of voters nationwide, compared to Obama’s 47 percent.
"Going into the debate, Obama led by two points, according to Rasmussen’s daily presidential tracking poll."
See it all here, folks:
